Upcoming City Events

Royal Oak Park is now open for use by the residents of Warson Woods and their guests.  Please exercise caution as some of the turf is new and will continue to establish solid root structures in the coming weeks.  Thank you for your patience while we completed the project.  We hope everyone enjoys the “new” Royal Oak Park. Recycling

The City licenses it's solid waste hauler to provide "Single Stream" curbside recycling.  For information on the multitude of items that are recyclable please click here.

Solid Waste Collection

The City has a contract with Progressive Waste Solutions of Missouri (PWSM) as the sole licensed trash collector for City residents. PWSM bills each home owner for the service.

The pickup schedules for trash, yard waste, and recyclables are as follows:

Each pick-up day of the holiday week after the holiday will be serviced one (1) day later.

 

Sewer Lateral Repair Program

The voters of the City have adopted and the City administers a program for repair and replacement of failed sewer laterals running from the street right-of-way to a private residence.

Water Line Repair Program

St. Louis County administers a program for repair or replacement of leaking and/or broken residential water service lines. For more information about the program or what to do if you suspect a water line break, go to the St. Louis County website

Newsletter

The City of Warson Woods publishes a quarterly Newsletter to inform and communicate with the residents of Warson Woods. If you are not receiving the Newsletter, please contact the City Hall.

Voter Registration

You may register, transfer your registration or re-register to vote during normal business hours at the City Hall.

Driver's License Information

For information and examination for a Missouri Operator's License, or for issuance or renewal of your State Registration contact the Department of Revenue office at 647-9375 (3234 Laclede Station Road).

Pet License

All dogs in the City of Warson Woods require a yearly City Dog License. to obtain a dog tag, the current rabies inoculation is required and a fee of $2.00.

Animal Control

The City has an animal Ordinance in effect which prohibits dogs from running at large and defecating on property other than that of the owner or person responsible for the animal. If you have a problem with a dog running at large, call St. Louis County Animal Control at 726-6655. For other dog problems, the resident must sign a complaint against the owner. Contact the City Hall 965-3100, for further information.

Permits

Demolition (Residential Areas Only), Building, Excavation and Sign Permits are issued by the City Hall. Plumbing, Electrical and Commercial Occupancy Permits are issued by St. Louis County. For Plumbing Applications, call 889-2808; for Electrical Applications call 889-2082 and for Commercial Applications call 889-2140.

Gas service in Warson Woods is provided by Laclede Gas. For further information go to:   http://www.lacledegas.com/

United States Post Office

Mail in Warson Woods is delivered through the Kirkwood Post Office.

Composting

Information on proper composting protocol is available through the St. Louis County Department of Health.


 

GOVERNMENT/TAXES


The City of Warson Woods is a Fourth Class Missouri City governed by a Mayor, elected by all registered voters, and eight members of a Board of Aldermen, two elected from each of the four Wards within the City. For a Ward Map, click here. Elections are held every first Tuesday followed by first Monday in April. In each Ward, one Alderman for a two-year term. Every even-numbered year, a Mayor is elected at large for a term of two years.
The Board of Aldermen meets once monthly on the third Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall. All residents are encouraged and invited to attend.
County Government
The City of Warson Woods is a part of St. Louis County. The County Courthouse is located in Clayton at 41 South Central Avenue. A County Executive and seven local area Councilmen govern. The City of Warson Woods is represented by the councilmen from the third (west of Woodlawn) and fifth (east of Woodlawn) districts. For the current County Council District Map click here.
State Government
Warson Woods is in the 24th Missouri Senate District and the 90th Missouri House District. The City is represented by the Second United States Congressional District and two Missouri Senators elected at large.
Ad Valorem Taxes
Real Estate Taxes and Personal Property Taxes are levied by various taxing districts and collected by St. Louis County. The bulk of these taxes go to governments (including school districts) other than the City.
